datos.gov.co publishes 8,388 open datasets for Colombia. Browse them live in Vizzie and turn any one into a map or chart.
datos.gov.co is the open-data portal for Colombia. It runs on Socrata, Tyler Technologies' open-data platform. You can browse it directly at www.datos.gov.co. Reuse terms are set out in the portal's terms of service (Per-dataset licence, declared in Socrata's display-name vocabulary.).
On datos.gov.co, most datasets here are clearly licensed — only a small share are undeclared. It's important to know that "no licence declared" is not the same as public-domain or free-to-use. Undeclared data carries no explicit permission to copy, adapt, or redistribute it — so reusers should treat it cautiously and check with the publisher before relying on it. Vizzie flags each dataset's licence (or its absence) so you can see this before you build.
Of the 5,995 datasets here whose licence Vizzie can identify, essentially all of them can be used commercially; 100% carry a share-alike condition, so work built on them has to be published under the same terms; 0% forbid derivatives, which rules out remapping them. Attribution is required by almost every open licence — Vizzie writes the attribution line for you when you export or publish.
Added 15 Sep 2026. 8,388 datasets — the largest Socrata deployment outside the United States. Sampled licences are all CC BY-SA 4.0 (share-alike), so exports carry the share-alike warning.
